Spotlight Old Brooklyn comes to State Road!

Spotlight Old Brooklyn is an extension of the neighborhood’s Eat & Explore CLE participation. This month’s focus is State Road. OBCDC will have its pop-up outdoor space at Honey hut Ice Cream (4674 State Rd.) on Saturday March 27th from 11am-3pm. The CDC will again offer the bingo game and opportunities to win prizes. Special thanks go to Destination Cleveland for providing the equipment to create a safe outdoor space for people to explore this part of the neighborhood.

Pick up your bingo card at their Eat & Explore pop-up outdoor space. Participating businesses include: Gus’s Family Restaurant (4377 State Rd), Opal (4250 Pearl Rd), Coffee Coffee Coffee (4193 Pearl), Old Brooklyn Mural (4200 Pearl Rd, located in the courtyard of Pearl Road United Methodist Church), Cleveland Metroparks Zoo (3900 Wildlife Way), and Brighton Park (across the street from the zoo).

From The Land….The business partners identified a handsome brick storefront in need of renovation at 3312 Broadview Road, near the intersection of Broadview and Pearl. Soon afterwards, they renovated the two upstairs apartments and found new tenants, then helped a catering company, KCC Catering, occupying one of two first floor storefronts to get up and running.  Read more here.
