Helen Qin
Ohio City
Meet Helen Qin from the Ohio City neighborhood. Helen is the co-owner of local favorite, Masons Creamery, and is a member of the Bridge Block Club. Helen enjoys the summers in her neighborhood, when the community gardens are in full bloom, and she can buy fresh produce from the many neighborhood farms.  She can be found wandering the West Side Market and stocking up on pasta from her favorite stand, Ohio City Pasta.
Helen loves the walkability in her neighborhood, the many dining options, but mostly the community. She says, “This is the first neighborhood I’ve lived in that felt like a real neighborhood- our neighbors look out for us and vice versa – it’s easy to get to know people!”

Annabel Khouri and Eric Stoffer
Annabel and Eric live in the Westown neighborhood. They co-own a small vegetable farm on the West Side of Cleveland called Bay Branch Farm.  Eric is a retired computer programmer and now works on the farm full time while Annabel works part time at Case Western Reserve in the career center as a career counselor. The couple enjoys being outside more than anything. Apart from spending time on the farm, they enjoy hiking and sailing and cooking together. Eric and Annabel love living in Cleveland for many reasons. They tell us, “we love that it’s a community with several amenities of a large city without all of the hassle; it often feels like a small town. Some of the amenities we love are the MetroParks, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Lake Erie, and the vibrant arts and culture scene!”

Kyro Taylor
Kyro lives in the Stockyards neighborhood and is an assistant principal at John Marshall High School, within the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Kyro is a coach, community activist, block club supervisor and works in marriage ministry. For someone as busy as this, Kyro needs a city that has it all, and Cleveland does this for him. Kyro loves living in Cleveland “because of its location, rich history, diversity, the Cavs and of course the best po’ boys and corned beef on earth!”
