CITY LIFE: MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS

Gwendolyn Garth
Central

Gwendolyn Garth is from the Cedar Central Neighborhood. Gwen is a self-employed freelance artist, and owns a local nonprofit called Kings and Queens of Art, which connects and engages artists from the Cleveland area. Gwen finds empowerment and inspiration from other change makers within her community, who work together to improve their own neighborhood. In her free time, Gwen enjoys traveling, reading and taking advantage of the local art scene. As a lifelong Clevelander, Gwen has deep roots in the city and her community. While she enjoys traveling, she always find fulfillment in coming home. Gwen knows there is much work to be done in Ward 5, but she loves Cleveland and her Central neighborhood, claiming, “there is no place like home”.

Eric Tolbert
Downtown – The Warehouse District

Eric Tolbert lives in the center of everything Downtown, in the historic Warehouse District. Eric has lived Downtown for many years and works at Playhouse Square as a financial advisor, specializing in business retirement plans. He is a  fan of local theater, but also enjoys reading, going to the movies and listening to jazz music. As a homeowner in Downtown, Eric is right in the middle of all the vibrancy that Cleveland has to offer, and he appreciates it on a daily basis. Says Eric, “I really love living in a vibrant and eclectic urban environment.”

Neil Mohney
Clark-Fulton

From the Clark-Fulton neighborhood, meet Neil Mohney. Neil has lived in the Clark Fulton area for over ten years, and works at Forest City Realty Trust in Downtown Cleveland. Neil enjoys renovating homes, gardening, participating in the vibrant arts scene in Cleveland and bringing his travels home with him. We asked Neil what he loves about Cleveland. He tells us, “while I could fill pages with my favorite things, I simply love that Cleveland is a legacy city. It may have its challenges, but its assets far outweigh those challenges. And our best asset is our people – Clevelanders who built this city, sustain this city, love this city, and whose determination will continue to make it a great place to live.”
