NEIGHBORHOOD INFO
The Lee-Harvard/Lee-Miles/Lee-Seville/The Village neighborhoods are four neighborhoods in one community; and known to be Cleveland’s most stable homeownership communities. Situated on Cleveland’s southeast side, the area is home to the Lee Harvard Shopping Plaza, one of the largest destinations for shopping in the City of Cleveland, Kerruish Park, Idalia Park, Jo Ann Park, Arthur Johnston Park, Whitney M. Young Blue Ribbon School, state of the art new construction John F. Kennedy High School, Cleveland Public Library, vibrant commercial corridors, and well established block clubs and associations. The neighborhood offers great access to I-480 as well as convenient proximity to many east side locations, and accessible public transit options. National and historical neighborhood impact are published in two books: “The Making of Cleveland’s Black “Suburb in the City”: Lee-Seville & Lee-Harvard” by the Cleveland Restoration Society, and “Surrogate Suburbs : Black Upward Mobility and Neighborhood Change in Cleveland, 1900-1980” by historian
