Watermark: Temporary Water Park @ Cleveland | Ohio | United States

The Watermark: Temporary Water Park event is free and open to all, especially neighborhood kids who are home on summer break. 100 years ago, people could swim in Giddings Brook when the weather got warm. Now that the brook is hidden underground, we’ll try to recreate the experience of water with sprinklers, wading pools, and a sandy beach on the site. Come cool off with Watermark!

This event is part of the Watermark event series in the Hough neighborhood that helps to remember the Giddings Brook, which was buried in a pipe almost 100 years ago to make room for development in the area. Visit the Hough neighborhood again on July 20 for the Temporary Water Park at Watermark event and on August 26 for the Watermark Walk and Community Cookout.

The Watermark event series is a collaboration between Ward 7 Councilman TJ DowCleveland Neighborhood Progress, the Kent State Urban Design Collective, and artist Mimi Kato. Visit the Watermark-Giddings website for more details or check out the other Watermark events on the Live Cleveland! website here and here.
