Big City Boo returns to The Square on Wednesday, October 31st from 5 – 7 PM. The event is hosted by Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams.

Bring the kids to Public Square for an evening of fun featuring candy stations, children’s parade, and a pet costume contest. Be sure to dress up in your favorite costume and be ready celebrate in The Square.

This is a FREE event meant for the whole family.

Support for Big City Boo also comes from the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. Remember, Public Square is a dog-friendly park. Please remember to pick up poop while visiting The Square.


  • Event Start 5 PM
  • Treat Stations Open 5 PM
  • Pet Costume Contest 5:30 PM at the Main Stage
  • Parade 5:45 PM at the Key Bank Promenade entrance – North – Superior
  • Event Conclusion 7 PM

The Pet Costume Contest, presented by NEORSD, happens at 5:30 PM at the Quicken Loans Stage. Pet owners are encouraged to create the most unique pet costume. Judging will consist of a representative of NEORSD, City of Cleveland, and Group Plan Commission.

The first-place winner will receive a $100 gift card to a pet store.

Remember, Public Square is a pet-friendly urban park and pets are welcome on a leash. Public Square and the NEORSD ask that you Pick Up Poop by using the Pick Up Poop bag dispensers located throughout Public Square.
