The Cleveland World Festival has evolved into a very popular celebration that draws tens of thousands of visitors to the city’s famed Cultural Gardens. This feast of fun, music and sports from around the globe, will return to the vast expanse of fields, forests and gardens of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 11 am to 9 pm. Celebrating Cleveland’s diverse community with its over 120 different ethnic groups, the spectacular event will once again offer visitors a unique opportunity to sample a smorgasbord of the customs, costumes, music, food, and sports reflecting the diverse cultures that make up Cleveland’s heritage.
Cleveland Neighborhood Progress commissioned a study by Cleveland State University’s Center for Population Dynamics to research population trends in the city. Specifically, the research team, led by Richey Piiparinen, looked at educational attainment and “brain gain” tendencies. This work highlights encouraging population trends that go well beyond a basic headcount of residents.
The report has gained much attention:
